Each scholarship requires a paper copy submitted to the school office.
Many of these scholarships are housed in the SLHS Foundation, which provides operational funding and tuition assistance to Shoreland Lutheran on an annual basis.

Ken Russell Memorial Scholarship
$250 (toward tuition or fees at Shoreland Lutheran High School) is awarded annually to a current junior who has completed three semesters at SLHS with a cumulative 2.3 GPA (C+) or better. The student must be a member in good standing of an SLHS federation congregation. Application deadline is May 1, 2019.

Benjamin Honeck Scholarship for the Visual Arts
This is a Merit Based scholarship available for male and female students completing 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade.

Erbe-Vogel Memorial Scholarship
$150 (toward tuition of fees at Shoreland Lutheran High School) for academic, social, and spiritual leadership for a returning junior. Not available again until March of 2020.
Dana Spurlock Memorial Scholarship
$300 for a returning art student; This scholarship is selected by committee; no application is necessary.
Brooks Family Bio-Med Scholarship
This scholarship is for students participating in the STEM Bio-med program to subsidize their registration cost.  The scholarship amount will vary for each student.  A total of $2,000 per year will be fully distributed among applying students based on financial need.

The L.R. "Larry" Marquardt Lutheran Scholarship
$1,000 Scholarship is awarded to a Shoreland Lutheran senior who is enrolled at Bethany Lutheran College, Martin Luther College, or Wisconsin Lutheran College. Application deadline is May 1, 2019.

Cameron Nahf Scholarship
$1000 awarded to a graduating Shoreland senior who exemplifies kindness, empathy, love, and respect. Application deadline

Michael Diamond Scholarship
$4000 awarded to a graduation Shoreland senior who exhibits a love and passion for history. The award will be released directly to the student's college or university.  Application deadline is May 1, 2019.

AES Engineering Solutions Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education.  It is awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.  It is intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.


Scholarship Guidelines & Application
E. C. Styberg Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is in memory of Ernest C. Styberg Jr.
  • Be a current high school senior attending school in Kenosha (WI) or Racine (WI) County
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Must have a grade point average between 2.5-3.5 on a 4.0 weighted scale
The Scholarship
$1,000 to two students. The Caregiver Scholarship is intended for students who are passionate about helping seniors live healthy lives and are pursuing careers in senior care. The award can be used towards tuition and/or books. Applicants must be actively enrolled in or accepted to attend a U.S. college or university and pursuing a career in senior care. Applicants must submit either a 500-word essay or 2-3 minute video addressing a topic related to elder care. Apply at The 2019 deadline has not been released.
Lindenhurst--Lake Villa Chamber of Commerce Scholarship--Paul Yurs Memorial Scholarship
The Lindenhurst--Lake Villa Chamber of Commerce is awarding two $500 scholarships to high school seniors living within Lake Villa Township who will be attending college or technical school. The scholarship will be awarded on a combination of not only the student's academic and school involvement, but also on work experience and community service. Kenosha Junior Woman's Club Scholarship
The Kenosha Junior Woman's Club (KJWC) is pleased to announce that it will award up to five scholarships to Kenosha County Seniors. In order to qualify, an applicant must:
  • Reside in Kenosha County
  • Graduate from a Kenosha County High School
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.4
  • Seek a four your college degree
  • Demonstrate good academic performance, participate in community and school activities, and exhibit leadership and citizenship qualities.
  • Compete the KJWC Scholarship Application (see link) and mail together with an original high school transcript no later than April 15, 2019.

AB Nicholas Scholarship
The AB Nicholas Scholarship Foundation seeks to make a college degree affordable for Wisconsin high school seniors who participate as players or managers in their school's basketball program. The scholarships are awarded based on need, academic achievement, and character. The annual scholarships--$10,000 for four-year programs and $5,000 for two-year programs (must attend a University of Wisconsin school) are renewable for the length of the program. Applications will be accepted February 1 through April 30, 2019.
Woman's Club of Kenosha
The Woman's Club of Kenosha is offering a $1,000 academic scholarship to four Kenosha County young women who are seniors in high school, residing in Kenosha County and are planning to enroll full-time in a four-year accredited institution of higher learning. Academic achievement, career orientation, financial need, and character are the primary criteria used in evaluating each applicant. Applications will be accepted between January 15 and March 15. Winners will be notified in April and will be honored at the Woman's Club closing luncheon on June 5, 2019. For additional information or to obtain an application form please email Kathleen Carr at
Kenosha Firefighters CARE Scholarship
In recognition of student volunteerism in Kenosha County, Kenosha Firefighters CARE has established scholarships for graduating seniors from Kenosha County public and private high schools. Applicants must demonstrate contributions to the Kenosha community through volunteer service and must be graduating seniors from a Kenosha County public or private high school. Applications are available at 4810 60th Street in the Fire Department Administration and are due by the close of business on April 15 and should be mailed or hand-delivered.

Wisconsin Society for Clinical Laboratory Science
The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science – Wisconsin announces the availability of a $4000 scholarship for high school seniors pursuing careers in Medical Laboratory Science/Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology. Applications are due March 31, 2019.

Racine County Breakfast on the Farm Scholarship 2019

A completed application form, recent photograph, and two letters of reference must be submitted by April 15, 2019

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a new or continuing student in a four year college, technical school, or short course program
  • Reside in Racine County
  • Preference given to agriculture related majors and/or participation in agriculture youth organizations.

Toptal Scholarship
The scholarship program is 12 scholarships awarded over the next 12 months to help young women pursue their technical career aspirations. It is open to more than just young aspiring developers; the award applies to anyone with a passion for tech and we welcome applicants from high school who have a growing interest in STEM. Each scholarship winner will receive a stipend, and in addition, a year of mentorship and guidance from the senior developers within our network.
K-R-W (Kenosha, Racine, Walworth) Plumber Apprentice Committee
Plumber Apprentice Applicant Interviews will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. All applications and required documents must be received by Monday, March 26, 2018. Accuplacer Test must be taken and passed before completing application. Required documents: Accuplacer test results, valid driver's license, high school transcripts, proof of graduation, or GED/HED Certificate and completed application. Applications are to be filled out at 14011 Spring Street, Sturtevant, Wednesdays (1-5 p.m.) and Thursdays (8 a.m. until noon). All questions should be directed to Julie Nielson at (262)732-4103. 
Kids' Chance of Wisconsin
Kids' Chance of Wisconsin is an organization providing educational scholarships to the children of Wisconsin workers who have been seriously injured or killed due to work-related accidents. EpicPromise Scholars
Open to the dependents of any U.S. or Canadian Vail Resorts Employee. Scholarships of up to $10,000 for up to four years of post-secondary education ($2,500 per year). Application requirements: outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, personal essay, two completed reference forms, completed FAFSA. Application deadline is February 5, 2019.
