Greetings in the name of our Savior!

I have had the privilege to serve at Shoreland since 2004. The Lord, through the agency of his people, led me here after serving as pastor of St. John’s - Hancock, MN,  Grace - Waukesha, WI, and Abiding Faith - Ft. Worth, TX.

I was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota. After eight years of public education, I attended Northwestern Lutheran Academy in Mobridge, South Dakota. NLA was one of our preparatory schools for ministry at that time. After graduating in 1976, I attended Northwestern College in Watertown, WI to prepare for ministerial studies. Upon graduation in 1980, the Lord led me to Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. While at the Sem, I took a year out of school to do emergency teaching at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson, WI. The Lord was preparing me for my later years. My formal years of school ended in 1985 when I graduated from the Seminary with a Masters of Divinity degree.

I teach Religion, Latin and conduct the Festival Choir. I also conduct handbells and participate in the Faculty Brass Ensemble. One of my favorite privileges is preaching for the congregations of our Shoreland Federation. For professional growth I take theology classes at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary and attend at least one choral conducting workshop each summer.

My wife, Diane, and I were married in 1982. We have three grown daughters and recently became grandparents. We enjoy traveling and spending time with our family.

It is a supreme blessing to serve your sons and daughters! May our school prepare them to be godly parents, workers and proclaimers of our Savior!
