I accepted a call to teach at Shoreland in 2014, and my family moved to Sturtevant, WI that summer. I get to teach world history to sophomores and economics to seniors. I also serve as social studies department chair, and, most recently, have accepted the call to be the athletic director. I also have the opportunity to be the varsity girls’ soccer coach in the spring.
I was born in Appleton, WI, and attended St. Matthew’s Lutheran from Kindergarten through 8th grade. I went to high school at Fox Valley Lutheran and graduated in 1994. I then attended Martin Luther College. I have since returned to Martin Luther College to work toward a graduate degree in educational leadership. I will finish this work in 2016.
After graduating from MLC in 1999, I received my first call to First Lutheran in Elkhorn, WI. I served there as principal and athletic director for 15 years. I taught a combination of grades 5-8 in my time serving there. I married my wife Cindy in 2001. My wife is also a teacher and serves at Trinity, Caledonia as their 4th grade teacher. My wife and I have 2 children: Megan and Claire.
