I accepted a call to Shoreland Lutheran High School in 2008. I am a teacher in the SEE Center, which is a supervised study hall where students can receive assistance and accommodations when needed.
I spent my childhood days in Juneau, Wisconsin. I attended St. John’s Lutheran School in Juneau from Kindergarten through 8th grade. I received my high school education at Dodgeland High in Juneau. I decided in 2nd grade that I wanted to be just like my teacher and teach children about Jesus. I attended Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, and graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a minor in English. At that time, I received a call to start a school at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in East Troy, Wisconsin, where I taught for eight years.
I married Greg Hermanson in 1984. He was a senior at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI. He graduated in 1985 and received a call to be a pastor at Faith Lutheran Church in Antioch, Illinois. We have been blessed to serve that congregation for thirty-one years.
Greg and I have three children. Our daughter, Rachel, married Matt Blum. They blessed us with two grandchildren, Avery and Levi. We also have two sons, Ben and Joel. Joel is married to Monica Pless.
We like to spend our spare time with our children and grandchildren who all live in Milwaukee.
