Each scholarship requires a paper copy submitted to the school office.
Many of these scholarships are housed in the SLHS Foundation, which provides operational funding and tuition assistance to Shoreland Lutheran on an annual basis.

Ken Russell Memorial Scholarship
$250 (toward tuition or fees at Shoreland Lutheran High School) is awarded annually to a current returning junior who has completed three semesters at SLHS with a cumulative 2.3 GPA (C+) or better. The student must be a member in good standing of an SLHS federation congregation. Application deadline is May 1, 2020.
Erbe-Vogel Memorial Scholarship
$150 (toward tuition or fees at Shoreland Lutheran High School) for academic, social, and spiritual leadership for a current returning junior. Application deadline is May 1, 2020.

$300 for a returning art student; This scholarship is selected by committee; no application is necessary.
Brooks Family Bio-Med Scholarship
This scholarship is for students participating in the STEM Bio-med program to subsidize their registration cost.  The scholarship amount will vary for each student.  A total of $2,000 per year will be fully distributed among applying students based on financial need.

This scholarship is for students participating in the STEM Computer Science program to subsidize their registration cost. The scholarship amount will vary for each student. The American Legion Americanism and Government Scholarship Program
This scholarship is meant to promote "Americanism", love of country, knowledge of government and allegiance to the U.S. flag. Eligible students are tested on their knowledge of U.S., Wisconsin and Country Governments, The U.S. Constitution and flag etiquette. Any student in grade 10, 11, or 12 living in the state of Wisconsin is eligible to apply. Students may only take the test one time per year, however students may participate all three years and be eligible for the scholarship multiple years. The test will be available online March 9-20, 2020. Eleven students will receive a $250 scholarship; eleven students will receive a $300 scholarship; and eleven students will receive a $750 scholarship. Students register online prior to the beginning of the test. The test link can be found at The link is only active during the test window. The test contains 50 questions: true/false, multiple choice, matching, and an essay question that must be answered in order to qualify. Thirty-three students in the state of Wisconsin will be awarded scholarships: 11 students in grade 10 will receive a $250 scholarship; 11 students in grade 11 will receive a $300 scholarship; 11 students in grade 12 will receive a $750 scholarship.

The L.R. "Larry" Marquardt Lutheran Scholarship
$1,000 Scholarship awarded to a Shoreland Lutheran High School senior who is enrolled at Bethany Lutheran College, Martin Luther College, or Wisconsin Lutheran College. Application deadline is May 1, 2020.
Cameron Nahf Scholarship
$1000 awarded to a graduating Shoreland senior who exemplifies kindness, empathy, love, and respect. Application deadline  May 1, 2020.
Michael Diamond Scholarship
$4000 awarded to a graduating Shoreland senior who exhibits a love and passion for history and who has been accepted to a two or four year college or university. The award will be released directly to the student's college or university. Application deadline is May 1, 2020.

AES Engineering Solutions Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education.  It is awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.  It is intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.

  • Intend to work in the helping professions (social work, counseling, teaching or medical field)

Scholarship Guidelines and Application Information
E. C. Styberg Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is in memory of Ernest C. Styberg Jr.
  • Be a current high school senior attending school in Kenosha (WI) or Racine (WI) County
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Must have a grade point average between 2.5-3.5 on a 4.0 weighted scale
GFWC-Pleasant Prairie Woman's Club Scholarship
The Pleasant Prairie Woman's Club is providing two educational scholarships in the amount of $1000 each to outstanding high school seniors. 
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Reside in Pleasant Prairie, WI
  • Be a current high school senior at the time of application
  • Have a minimum 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 unweighted scale
  • Provide a copy of your high school transcript
  • Submit at least two (2) letters of recommendation with the completed application form
  • Submit a personal statement which has a minimum of 200 typewritten words
  • Submit all application answers either printed or typed (blue or black ink)
Applications must be postmarked no later than Thursday, April 2, 2020
General Federation of Women's Clubs Wisconsin
GFWC-WI Health Scholarship. Deadline is April 1
The GFWC Southern Prairies District consists of seven counties in Southern Wisconsin:  Kenosha, Racine, Walworth, Green, Rock, Grant and Lafayette.
The District's main purpose of this scholarship is to award financial grants to high school seniors planning a career in the health field. $1000 Award. 
Application Information
Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce
Four (4) scholarships in amounts of $2500 each will be awarded to graduating high school seniors pursuing a full-time course of study at a four-year college/university or technical college. These scholarships are open to residents of Kenosha County graduating from high school in 2020. Applicants must have a connection to the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce either through a member employer or a parent/guardian's employer. Minimum GPA of 2.5 / 4.0 or have shown considerable improvement in their academic performance. Applicants with a GPA below 2.5 must submit a written statement explaining why they should be considered despite not meeting the minimum GPA requirement. Applicants must participate in extracurricular activities and must have demonstrated community involvement. A checklist of requirements can be found on the application. A complete application package must be submitted by May 8, 2020 at 3 p.m. Applicants must be available for interview in late May 2020.

Kenosha Firefighters CARE Scholarship
In recognition of student volunteerism in Kenosha County, Kenosha Firefighters CARE has established scholarships for graduating seniors from Kenosha County public and private high schools. Applicants must demonstrate contributions to the Kenosha community through volunteer service and must be graduating seniors from a Kenosha County public or private high school. Applications are available at 4810 60th Street in the Fire Department Administration and are due by the close of business on April 15 and should be mailed or hand-delivered.

A-Action Pest Control Scholarship
The purpose of the A-Action Pest Control Scholarship Fund is to encourage commitment by students to a career in business administration, marketing, or another business-related field. Entrepreneurship and small business ownership are core principals A-Action was founded on and are important to the overall local community. The applicant must be currently enrolled or intending to enroll in an accredited business or business-related program at a college or university in Illinois or Wisconsin. Application procedure: fill out form on website, faculty letter of recommendation, personal letter of intent. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on June 16, 2020. The winner of the the A-Action Pest Control Scholarship in memory of Jacqueline Duty will be announced on July 22, 2020.
Kenosha Junior Woman's Club Scholarship
Available to high school seniors from Kenosha County. In order to qualify, an applicant must:
  • Reside in Kenosha County
  • Attend a Kenosha County High School (public or private)
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.4
  • Seek a four your college degree
  • Application deadline is April 1

Somers Elementary School Scholarship
This scholarship is open to current high school seniors who previously attended Somers Elementary School for (2) two full years or more. Additional criteria: cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher; involvement in extra curricular activities and/or athletics in high school; plan to attend college full time and complete the first semester in the same year that the scholarship is awarded. Deadline is October 1, 2020.

The Scholarship
The Caregiver Scholarship is intended for students who are passionate about helping seniors live healthy lives and are pursuing careers in senior care. The award can be used towards tuition and/or books. Applicants must be actively enrolled in or accepted to attend a U.S. college or university and pursuing a career in senior care. Applicants must submit either a 500-word essay or 2-3 minute video addressing a topic related to elder care. Apply at The 2020 deadline has not been released.
Woman's Club of Kenosha
The Woman's Club of Kenosha is offering a $1,000 academic scholarship to four Kenosha County young women who are seniors in high school, residing in Kenosha County and are planning to enroll full-time in a four-year accredited institution of higher learning. Academic achievement, career orientation, financial need, and character are the primary criteria used in evaluating each applicant. Wisconsin Society for Clinical Laboratory Science
The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science – Wisconsin announces the availability of a $4000 scholarship for high school seniors pursuing careers in Medical Laboratory Science/Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology. Applications are due March 31, 2020.

Western Kiwanis Foundation of Kenosha INC.
The Western Kiwanis Foundation of Kenosha Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of five (5) new scholarships that will be awarded to high school seniors who, upon graduation, plan to attend an accredited two or four year college, university, or technical school. The scholarships vary in amount: $3000, $2500, $2000, $1500, $1000. Application deadline is May 1, 2020.

Toptal Scholarship
The scholarship program is 12 scholarships awarded over the next 12 months to help young women pursue their technical career aspirations. It is open to more than just young aspiring developers; the award applies to anyone with a passion for tech and we welcome applicants from high school who have a growing interest in STEM. Each scholarship winner will receive a stipend, and in addition, a year of mentorship and guidance from the senior developers within our network.
