Shoreland's STEM Academy is accepting applications for the 2021-22 school year beginning November 1st. Our hands-on program, based on Project Lead the Way's curriculum, is carefully designed to help prepare students for real-world challenges and 21st century career opportunities.
Student members of the STEM Academy find their assignments to be fun, inspiring, engaging and rigorous. To ensure that all new STEM students are successful members of the Academy, we use a robust screening process. Students are admitted only if they meet certain standards in math and reading, as well as other requirements. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, problem solvers, team players and hard workers.
Classes are taught in our new Science Wing, a 1,300-square-foot facility built exclusively for the STEM Academy and science classes. Our STEM program focuses on three areas:
