Shoreland’s
Results

Shoreland ranks among the highest-
performing private high schools in Wisconsin.

Our student success is a testament to the
transformative opportunities offered here
and the groundbreaking work teachers,
administrators, staff and students are doing
to boost achievement in a Christ-centered
school environment.

Shoreland’s
Approach

Our team takes best practices from
leading organizations and implements
them in the classroom to ensure our students
graduate ready to work collaboratively,
think creatively and solve problems that
don’t even exist yet.

We work one-on-one with students to create individual
learning objectives so they can take ownership in their
education. Then, we meticulously track student progress
throughout the year to ensure we meet education objectives
for our school and individual students.

We also work hard to build and sustain a happy work
atmosphere and joyful classrooms, while holding
administrators, teachers and students accountable for
results. We continuously ask ourselves, “How can we do this
better?”

Academic Attainment
On the ACT, Shoreland students outperform their peers at the district, state and national level with 100 percent of students taking the test. The top 75 percent of Shoreland students averaged 23.6 on the ACT. Achieving a 23.6 means a student scored in the top third of all students nationwide.
Academic Growth
On the Wisconsin State Accountability Report Card, Shoreland students improved their scores at a faster rate than their Wisconsin peers with a growth score of 91.6 out of 100. The state average was 66.0. In addition, the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), a national assessment that measures what students know and informs what they’re able to learn next, reports that Shoreland students are growing faster than their peers nationwide. Sophomores tested in the 73rd percentile in math and the 83rd percentile in reading. The 50th percentile is the national average. Given that academic achievement can be influenced by factors outside the control of school, growth-related measures are a reliable and useful indicator of how a school is improving.
Accreditation Success
Shoreland reached the highest level of accreditation status from three accrediting agencies. Accreditation is the recognition from an accrediting agency that an institution meets or exceeds nearly 300 standards of quality. Shoreland voluntarily participates in this rigorous process as an additional accountability measure to ensure the school fulfills its mission and maintains the highest levels of quality.
