I began teaching at Shoreland Lutheran High School in 2011. I teach Cantate Choir and Orchestra, and serve as the grade school strings teacher for the Shoreland federation grade schools.

I grew up in La Crosse, WI, the youngest of four from a musical family. After graduation from Luther High School in Onalaska, WI, I received a BA in Music Education from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN in 2001. I then moved out east to teach elementary and middle school orchestra in central Connecticut for nine years. During that time I was active as church choir director and performer in the Farmington Valley Symphony. I also received a Master of Music Education, with a string emphasis, from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, IL in 2009. Most recently I completed my WELS synod certification from Martin Luther College in 2016.

In my free time I enjoy music composition. I have been blessed with opportunities to write choral and instrumental music for various church and school groups, and have music published by Northwestern Publishing House, Imagine Music and Grand Mesa. Composition samples: I also love being active outdoors in my free time, and enjoy being an Aunt to my five nieces and nephew.
