Capital Expansion Updates

9/23/25

Shoreland has reached an exciting point in our expansion project. The first phase of construction, the regenerative stormwater conveyance system (RSC), is nearly complete. This system is the first step in our building expansion, and we are excited to see it taking shape.

See the Progress
Here’s a short flyover video of the regenerative stormwater conveyance.

What is an RSC?
A regenerative stormwater conveyance system is a sustainable way to manage water on our campus and protect God’s creation. Rather than sending stormwater directly into drains, the RSC slows the water, filters it through sand and gravel beds, and allows it to soak into the ground. This reduces erosion, improves water quality, and restores more natural flow patterns to the landscape.

The Largest RSC in the Nation
We are especially excited that the system being built on our property is, according to the Root Pike Watershed Initiative Network, the longest regenerative stormwater conveyance in the United States. This innovative design not only helps care for our own campus, it also serves as an example of faithful stewardship of creation that can inspire others.

How You Can Help
As we prepare for the next stage of construction, we continue to rely on God’s provision through the prayers and support of our community. You can help us reach our campaign goal in three ways:

Pray for God’s continued blessing on the project.
Share the news about the campaign with friends, family, and neighbors who may want to join in supporting Christian education.
Consider a gift toward the campaign.  You can learn more how here.
