Tuition Assistance plays a big role in helping families obtain a Christian education from Shoreland Lutheran High School. There are many families that are not able to send their children to SLHS without the help of financial aid. Approximately one of every three students at Shoreland receives some form of tuition assistance.
You can get involved by helping to organize, run the programs, and volunteer to help fund Tuition Assistance:
Taste of Shoreland – Annual Dinner Auction
During the event in April, many SLHS supporters gather for the purpose of raising funds for tuition assistance. It is an enjoyable night that includes a silent auction, live auction, dinner, entertainment, and an opportunity to be reminded of the blessings that come through the Christian education at Shoreland Lutheran High School. The purpose of the night is clear: We want to reach more students and families with the Gospel message. To volunteer, please email email@example.com. Widow’s Mite Rummage Sale – Annual Rummage Sale
This annual event (the last weekend in May) raises an average of approximately $10,000 per year. But the rummage sale has a greater reach than that: It allows about 100 people to work together and volunteer for a common cause. It also shows the greater Somers community the true blessing of Shoreland Lutheran — God’s Word and the people we have working for the students.
