Each scholarship requires a paper copy submitted to the school office.

Many of these scholarships are housed in the SLHS Foundation, which provides operational funding and tuition assistance to Shoreland Lutheran on an annual basis.

Cameron Nahf Scholarship
$1,000 awarded to a graduating Shoreland senior who exemplifies kindness, empathy, love and respect.

Dana Spurlock Memorial Scholarship
$300 for a returning art student. This scholarship is selected by committee. No application is necessary.

Erbe-Vogel Memorial Scholarship
$150 toward tuition or fees at Shoreland Lutheran High School for academic, social and spiritual leadership for a current returning junior.

Ken Russell Memorial Scholarship
$250 toward tuition or fees at Shoreland Lutheran High School. The scholarship is awarded annually to a current returning junior who has completed three semesters at SLHS with a cumulative 2.3 GPA (C+) or better. The student must be a member in good standing of an SLHS federation congregation.

The L.R. "Larry" Marquardt Lutheran Scholarship
$1,000 awarded to a Shoreland Lutheran High School senior who is enrolled at Bethany Lutheran College, Martin Luther College or Wisconsin Lutheran College.

Teresa Muzatko Scholarship
$1,500 awarded to a graduating senior who is pursing a degree in the medical field and has been accepted at to a two- or four-year college or university. The award will be released directly to the student’s college or university.

Brooks Family Biomedical Scholarship
This scholarship is for students participating in the STEM Biomedical Science program to subsidize their registration cost. The scholarship amount will vary for each student.  A total of $2,000 per year will be fully distributed among applying students based on financial need.

Coolidge Scholarship

Coolidge Scholars are selected based primarily on academic excellence. Secondary criteria include: an interest in public policy, an appreciation for and understanding of the values President Coolidge championed, as well as humility and service.

Epic Flight Academy Scholarships

Eligibility:

  • Open to current high school juniors and seniors for flight training.
  • Open to current seniors for aircraft mechanics.

Awarding four scholarships:

  • $20,000 and $5,000 for flight training
  • $20,000 each for two aircraft mechanics)

in Memory of Jacqueline Duty

$1,000 awarded to encourage students pursuing a career in business administration, marketing or another business-related field. Applicants are required to:

  • Complete the application form.
  • Submit a faculty letter of recommendation.
  • Submit a personal letter of intent.

American Legion Schneider-Emanuel Scholarship
The American Legion Department of Wisconsin's Schneider-Emanuel Scholarship goes to three (3) deserving graduates of any accredited Wisconsin high school. The sum of $1,000 is to be applied to the cost of continuing education at any degree granting college or university within the United States of America. It is the intent that this award shall enable a student to secure a baccalaureate degree.

The scholarship is available to Wisconsin residents only. In addition, the application must meet the the eligibility requirements outlined below.

Applicant must be either:

  • A veteran and a current member of the American Legion Department of Wisconsin at the time of application.
  • A son/daughter whose father, mother or legal guardian is living and a current member of the American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary or The Sons of The American Legion at the time of application.
  • A grandson/granddaughter whose grandfather, grandmother or legal guardian is living and a current member of The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary or The Sons of The American Legion at the time of application.
  • Applicant is a current member, in good standing, in The Sons of The American Legion or The American Legion Auxiliary/Junior Auxiliary at the time of application.

Three (3) scholarship awards will be made to the applicants who meet the above eligibility requirements and have participated in one or more of the following American Legion sponsored activities:

  • Attendance at a complete session of Badger Boys State
  • Attendance at a complete session of Badger Girls State.
  • Participation in the County Youth Government Day Program.
  • Competed in The American Legion High School Oratorical Contest (Post, Country, District or State level).
  • Took The American Legion Americanism and Government Scholarship Test.
  • Participated in an American Legion sponsored Band and/or Drum and Bugle Corps.
  • Played for an American Legion Baseball Team.
  • Member of an American Legion sponsored Scout Troop.
  • Participated in an American Legion sponsored Junior Shooting Sports program.
  • Attended the Wisconsin American Legion Law Enforcement Career Academy.

Applicant must be awarded a high school diploma or its equivalent and must have maintained an academic average of "B" or better for a period of seven (7) high school semesters, based upon the standard of the institution granting the diploma. The academic average is based on the seven (7) semesters prior to the second semester of the senior year.

Clay Davison Legacy Scholarship – Kenosha Community Foundation
The Clay Davison legacy fund was established in 2020 and will award a one-year, $1,000 scholarship, to a resident of Kenosha County who is a high school senior and plans to attend a two-year or four-year college or university, or accredited technical school.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must plan to study in a mental health-related field
  • Students of any GPA may apply
  • Consideration will be given for evidence of financial need as well as participation in school and community volunteer activities and work experience.

Foundation of WATDA (Wisconsin Automobile and Truck Dealers Association)
The Foundation of WATDA will award 60-80 scholarships for students attending Wisconsin Technical Colleges in the follow programs:

  • Automotive
  • Diesel
  • Auto Collision
  • Motorcycle

High school seniors, current technical college students who are in their first year of a two-year program, and non-traditional students are encouraged to apply. Only students with complete applications filed by the January 15, 2021, deadline will be considered.

No FAFSA or income information is required to apply for this scholarship.

Tuition amounts vary and can be up to the full tuition. Average tuition awards are $3,000 ($750 per semester for four semesters). Snap-on Tool sets may be awarded independently in conjunction with tuition awards.

This $1,000 (one-time) scholarship is available to high school seniors who are planning to enter the field of law. Students must be entering a four-year college/university or a two-year community college in the fall of 2021. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.

The GFWC Southern Prairies District consists of seven counties in Southern Wisconsin:  Kenosha, Racine, Walworth, Green, Rock, Grant and Lafayette. The District's main purpose of this $1,000 scholarship is to award financial grants to high school seniors planning a career in the health field.

GFWC-Pleasant Prairie Woman’s Club will again be offering two $1,000 scholarships. Following are the scholarship eligibility requirements: 

  • Reside in Pleasant Prairie, Wis.
  • Be a current high school senior at the time of their application.
  • Have a minimum 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 unweighted scale (or equivalent).
  • Provide a copy of your high school transcript.
  • Submit at least two (2) letters of recommendation with the completed application from responsible adults who know you well, excluding any family members.
  • Submit a personal statement which has a minimum of 200 typewritten words.
  • Submit all application answers either printed or typed in blue or black ink.


 Judging Criteria:

Your application will be screened by the GFWC-PPWC Education Committee. The committee members will review each submitted application carefully and give each application thorough consideration. Applicants will be scored on the following:

  • Academic achievement.
  • Leadership and character.
  • Community service participation.
  • Financial need.

Kiwanis Club of Western Kenosha
The Kiwanis Club of Western Kenosha Foundation is offering academic scholarships to senior high school students who, upon graduation, will be attending an accredited two- or four-year college, university or technical school leading to a degree. Four scholarships will be offered in 2021: $2,000, $1,750, $1,500 and $750. The application deadline is April 30, 2021. Scholarship winners will be recognized at a Kiwanis Scholarship Presentation on Thursday, June 3, Covid-19 permitting.

    Two scholarships for the 2021 year: one (1) $2,000 and (1) $1,000.

    Eligibility:

    • Be of Italian descent (as determined by OSIA’s trustees and selection committee).
    • Reside in the following counties: Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington or Waukesha.

    Rizzo Family Memorial Scholarship – Kenosha Community Foundation

    The Rizzo Family Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by the Rizzo children in 2020 in memory of their father Dr. Vincent C. Rizzo, their mother Mary C. Rizzo, and their uncle, Dr. Michael J. Rizzo. The fund will award a one-year scholarship of $1,000. The recipient of this scholarship must be a resident of Kenosha County, a high school senior planning to attend a two- or four-year college or university in an accredited Wisconsin institution, or a student currently enrolled in a Wisconsin-based college/university or accredited technical school.

    Eligibility:

    • Applicants must plan to study or continue to study in a health-related field.
    • Applicants must maintain a 3.0 (out of 4.0) GPA or better.
    • Additional considerations will be given for evidence of financial need, participation in school and community volunteer activities, and work experience.

    Wisconsin Society for Clinical Laboratory Science – Joseph Stavri Scholarship
    The Wisconsin Society for Clinical Laboratory Science Scholarship Fund, Inc. announces the 2021 Joseph Stavri MLS/CLS/MT $4,000 Scholarship Award. This award will be made on the basis of scholastic accomplishments, extracurricular activities, written communication skills and character.

    Applicants must:

    • Be a resident of the State of Wisconsin.
    • Be enrolled in an accredited high school in Wisconsin.
    • Have completed the first half of the twelfth grade.
    • Show the results of at least one of the College Entrance Examination test scores – ACT, SAT, PSAT – on the transcript of grades.
    • Matriculate by September 2021 at an accredited university in the State of Wisconsin with the MLS/CLS/MT curriculum.
